Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU Jaipur) is a venture of the renowned Rajendra and Ursula Joshi Charitable Trust (RUJCT).

 It is the first Indian University to offer only skill-based programs and has established itself as a leading education provider with a prime focus on holistic skills training based on the Swiss Dual System, using machinery and equipment procured from the best manufacturers all across the globe.

Bhartiya Skill Development University is a multidisciplinary skills university offering B.Voc, M.Voc, and Ph.D. degrees in different skill disciplines. In addition to that, BSDU also offers programs on Skill Certificate, Diplomas, Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma, and Specialized Training in different skill domains.

 BSDU programs are in compliance with UGC Instructions for Vocational Programs, National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), and the guidelines provided by respective Sector Skill Councils (SSC), incorporating the relevant National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualification Packs (QP).

The Skill Schools set the pace at the University by providing an international ambiance in a local setting with innovative and engaging teaching methods, globally benchmarked skill curricula, and a true mix of Swiss and Indian faculty members. Swiss Dual System

The whole training is based on the Swiss Dual System, comprising “On-the-Job Training” and “Vocational School”, which has been adopted after carrying out due modifications to suit the Indian industry. In Switzerland, there are about 247 trades available for skill development.

BSDU, taking a cue from it, is today poised to offer such inter-industry courses to the Indian Youth. In contrast to the Swiss Model, which is for three to four years, the BSDU model is for a three-year degree course, each year comprising two semesters, with I, III & V semesters with BSDU and II, IV & VI semesters with the industry.

BSDU Model of Skills Education

The UGC has approved B.Voc programs based on the National Skill Qualification Framework, to address the critical requirements of Skill sets to make the candidates industry-ready. It’s a great opportunity to shape the careers of youth in the relevant skill sectors.

BSDU has evolved the B.Voc curriculum, having 60% Skills and 40% General Education component. The Skill component essentially covers the skills needed in a given skill area and is almost entirely hands-on work with state-of-the-art machines and equipment sourced from the best brands worldwide. To supplement the skills acquired at the university, the students are sent for industrial internships every alternate semester.

Approvals

The University has been incorporated by the Government of Rajasthan vide State Legislature Act No. 3 of 2017 (Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur Act 2017) and notified vide Notification No. F.2(4) Vidhi/2017 dated 30th March, 2017. University Grants Commission approved the establishment of Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

Government Recognition:

The establishment of BSDU Jaipur is recognized and approved by the State Government. The University has been incorporated by the Government of Rajasthan through legislation of the Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur Act 2017(Act No. 3 of 2017) and was notified vide Notification No. F.2(4) Vidhi/2017 dated 30th March 2017.

School of Healthcare and Paramedic Skills

The School follows the Swiss dual system and applies modern teaching methods. Students will acquire flexible, usable knowledge, develop interdisciplinary skills, and improve their problem-solving capabilities. School of General Education

In the undergraduate curriculum, general education is often contrasted with specialized education. The new School for Metal Construction Skills in Bhartiya Skill Development University will offer a range of skilled courses about the fabrication and processing of metal parts for component manufacturing, integrated with science and technology. Admission Announcement

BSDU Jaipur now invites applications for admissions in B.Voc, M.Voc, and Ph.D. Programs for Winter Session 2022-23 from the eligible candidates. Register now and take advantage of the Early Bird Fee Concession and benefit from reduced tuition fees for all programs that are offered during the Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur’s 2022-23 Session.

We have limited Seats B.Voc (30) and M.Voc (10). The Early Bird applies until December 25th, 2022. The Early Bird advantage allows students to benefit from a reduction of 25% in Tuition Fees.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Applications in the prescribed format for undergraduate programs (B.Voc) and postgraduate programs (M.Voc) are invited from eligible candidates as per the notified dates in July and December each year. The form is included in the Prospectus, or the interested candidate can Apply Online.

Entrance Test

Both offline and online entrance tests are conducted for admission to the various programs at the University. Tests mainly consist of General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and basic knowledge of the related subject area. Admissions are based purely on the merit of the qualifying examination.

Declaration of Result

After the declaration of the result, a merit list of successful candidates is prepared and notified to the candidates. All successful candidates are then called for a counseling session as per the notified schedule.

Commencement  of Classes

The University publishes an Academic Calendar at the start of each semester. The date of commencement of classes is given in the Calendar and has to be strictly followed by every student.

Mark sheet and certificate of 10+2/ITI/Diploma/ Qualifying exam.

Please ensure sufficient balance in the account before depositing the Fee by Cheque. Cutting & overwriting are not allowed.

In case of Cheque Return, students will not be allowed in class with immediate effect & legal action will be taken under the Negotiable Instruments Act. (Demand Draft / CTS Cheque Return charge 500/-).

Note: All B.Voc programs are of 6 semesters duration with Semesters I, III & V at BSDU and Semesters II, IV, and VI at Industry.

Note: All M. Voc programs are of 4 semesters duration with Semesters I & III at BSDU and Semesters II & IV at Industry.

Hostel Fee

33,000/- per semester for Boarding & Lodging.

This Fee Structure is valid for the Academic Year 2022-23.

Policy on Refund of Fees  

In pursuance of the guidelines provided by the UGC on the above courses, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) will henceforth follow the following rules and regulations for a refund of fees and non-retention of original certificates of students admitted to this university. The refund of fees will be as given in the table below:

* In case of (i) in the table above, 5% of the total fees paid by the student will be deducted, subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000/- as processing charges from the refundable amount as per UGC norms.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FEE CONCESSIONS

Merit Scholarships

1. B.Voc and M.Voc (UG) Students admitted directly

a) Students having 80% or more marks in the last qualifying examination will be eligible for a scholarship equivalent to 100% of the Tuition Fees.

b) Students having <80%≥70% marks in the last qualifying examination will be eligible for a scholarship equivalent to 50% of the Tuition Fees.

c) A student admitted without any scholarship at the time of admission may be awarded an academic scholarship of 25% of tuition fees for one academic year if he/she earns a CGPA of 8 and above at the end of the academic year.

Note: The above scholarships will be given at the time of admission and will continue for the first year only.

To retain the scholarships in subsequent years, the student has to maintain a minimum CGPA of 8.0, or else the Scholarship will be withdrawn.

2. Fee Concessions

2.1. Early-bird Fee Concessions)

One-time early bird fee concession amounting to 25% of the tuition fee is applicable on registration before 25th December 2022.

2.2. Fee Concessions for Girl Students and Transgender Individuals

All-female candidates and Transgender Individuals are entitled to a one-time 25% tuition fee concession for admission in the 2022-23 session

2.3. Fee Concession for Wards of Defence Personnel (Serving and Retired)

One-time 25% concession in Tuition fees will be awarded to Sons/Daughters of Armed Forces/Para Paramilitary Forces/Police Force Personnel.

2.4. Fee Concession for Socio-Cultural Identities

One-time 25% concession in Tuition fees will be awarded to Sons/Daughters of individuals belonging to socio-cultural identities (such as SC, ST, OBC).

2.5. Differently-abled students

A one-time 25% concession in Tuition fees will be awarded to differently-abled students with 30% or higher impairment.

2.6. Economically Weaker Section

One-time 25% concession in Tuition fees will be awarded to students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section

2.7. BSDU students joining the next Higher Degree at the University

BSDU Students who have completed any degree at the University and who join the University for a higher degree will be allowed a 25% concession in Tuition fees.

2.8. University Employees and their Wards

50% concession in Tuition fees will be allowed to the self/spouse/son/daughter of University Employees. This fee concession will hold as long as the employee continues to work at the University.

BSDU has tied up to help students avail of education loans easily from several banks.

The education loans for the students of BSDU are offered based on the credit history of the co-applicant and the academic performance of the applicant.
