The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or AHSEC, is headquartered in Guwahati, Assam. Assam’s state government oversees the AHSEC Board. It is the state’s regulatory authority for Higher Secondary (10+2) education in Assam. The Assam Government created the Assam Higher Secondary Education on June 1, 1984, to regulate, monitor, and improve the state’s higher secondary education system.
AHSEC has been tasked with developing upper secondary school education in the state since then. Every year, the Council organises the Higher Secondary (HS) or 12th class examination as part of its obligation. The Council develops and distributes the exam datesheet or timetable, ensures that the exam runs well, and provides AHSEC results.

To pass the Assam HS examinations in 2022, students must pass both the theory and practical portions independently.
Depending on the content, the Assam AHSEC test might last anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Students can use the Assam AHSEC exam pattern to familiarise yourself with the subject-by-subject grading structure, as well as the quantity and types of questions offered in the test.
Preparation Tips:
- Make a schedule with equal time slots for each paper. Make time to solve AHSEC sample papers and prior year’s exam papers as well.
- To prevent forgetting essential days, download the Assam HS timetable 2022 and put it near your study table.
- Make a list of all the topics on the syllabus and make sure you don’t forget anything. If a topic is tough, postpone it till later and seek clarification from teachers.
- Make it a practise to take brief notes while studying. Students would not have to study the full textbook or notes again when prepping for the Assam HS examinations 2022 in this manner.
- Take small pauses to make studying less boring and to boost concentration.
