Guru Nanak Dev University was established in 1969 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is spread over 500 acres towards the west of Amritsar, Punjab. GNDU has 35 academic departments at the University Campus and 148 affiliated colleges and 71 Associate Institutes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM & English and secured at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.

For admission to B.Tech(Lateral Entry) courses, candidates must have passed two years Diploma after 10+2- or three-years Diploma after matriculation examination in the relevant subject (Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering/ Information Technology) from a State Technical Board.

Admission Process

Admission to all the courses shall be made on the basis of entrance test conducted by University or the tests/counselling conducted at state or National level.

The university will offer provisional admission to the applicants on the basis of the merit of an online entrance test to be conducted for the various courses.
