NIOS Courses, Dates, Exam Centers
The NIOS, like the CBSE and the CISCE, is a national board that administers secondary and senior secondary examinations. After high school, it also provides vocational training.
From November 12 to December 15, 2021, the NIOS Class 10, 12 theoretical exams will be held. On the official NIOS website, the date sheet for the same has been published. On November 3, hall tickets for classes 10 and 12 were also made available on the board’s official website.
The April exams were cancelled by NIOS due to an increase of COVID-19 cases.
The National Institute of Open Schooling, or NIOS, was founded to meet the requirements of a diverse range of students up to the pre-degree level.The Central Board of Secondary Education launched the Open School in 1979 as a scheme with built-in flexibility (CBSE). The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Indian government founded it in 1989.

Board Programme:
NIOS is an “Open School” designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of students up to the pre-degree level. In 1979, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began a programme with built-in flexibility.

Eligibility Criteria (by class):
As of January 31, 2019, a student must be at least 14 years old (born on or before January 31, 2005) A learner who self-certifies that “I have studied enough to be ready to pursue secondary course” is also eligible for secondary course admission.
Learners must meet the following qualifying conditions in order to sit for the NIOS 12th tests in 2021: The learner must be at least 15 years old. The student must have successfully completed secondary school (10th grade) examinations. The learner must be a member of NIOS.
Application Process:
- Visit the admission portal of NIOS- sdmis.nios.ac.in/
- Read all the instructions carefully and click on ‘Register’
- Fill in all the details required.
- Upload all the supporting documents.
- Pay the required fee.
- Save your form for future references.
How to Apply?
Visit www.nios.ac.in (NIOS WebSite) and click on the Registration for Examination only for existing learners under On-Demand Examination (at the bottom). The Registration form will display after that, where you must register for the examination.
Documents Required:
- Aadhaar card or passport or ration card or other identity proof.
- Birth certificate for proof of date of birth.
- Address proof i.e. Aadhaar card/water bill/electricity bill/voter ID/ration card.
- Signature (preferably in black ink)
- Recent passport size colour photograph.

Admit Card:
- Go to the official website: sdmis.nios.ac.in admit card 2022.
- Click on the link of the NIOS admit card April 2022.
- NIOS 10th hall ticket window of theory and practicals will open on the screen.
- Select the hall ticket type and enter the enrollment number.

Check Results:
Visit the official NIOS results webpage. 2021 nios.ac.in 12th result Step 2 – On the main page, click on the “Examination Result” link. Step 3: Select ‘Public Examination Result 2021’ from the drop-down menu. Step 4 – Select ‘NIOS 12th result 2021’ from the drop-down menu.
Re-Checking:
Candidates must apply for re-evaluation on the NIOS website www.nios.ac.in within 15 days after the date of the results announcement. The results of the re-evaluation will be posted on the NIOS website. The Secondary Examinations do not allow for re-evaluation.
Re-appear:
Visit www.nios.ac.in (NIOS WebSite) and click on the Registration for Examination only for existing learners under On-Demand Examination (at the bottom). The Registration form will display after that, where you must register for the Re-appear examination.
