Bachelor of Education (B.Ed full form) is an undergraduate degree program that prepares students to serve as teachers in public schools. The B.Ed program lasts two years and consists of four semesters. Bachelor of Education is abbreviated as B Ed. Teaching in the secondary and higher secondary levels requires a B.Ed degree. Previously known as Bachelor of Training [BT] or ‘Siksha Shastri’ at various universities. B.Ed Eligibility Criteria:
- 10+2, Candidates from any stream can apply- Science, Commerce or Humanities
- The cut-offs for the GEN category usually range between 45 to 55% and between 40 to 50% for SC/ST.
- Any candidate who has not appeared for 10+2 exams before the admission date is not eligible to apply for the course.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old in order to meet the Haryana B. Ed qualifying requirements. The candidate must have received a minimum of 50% in aggregate in their graduation or undergraduate studies. Haryana permanent residents would be given priority over students from other states.
B.Ed. Admission Process:
The bulk of B. Ed. admissions in 2022 to the best schools and institutions will be based on entrance exams. Some colleges/universities, on the other hand, admit students based on a merit list compiled from their graduation grades.

- 8 passport size recent colored photographs.
- 3 copies of the 10th & 12thmark sheet along with passing certificates.
- 3 copies of mark sheet of all years of graduation.
- Similarly, mark cards of all semesters/years of Master’s degree required.
- One address proof of the candidate, Adhar Card or Voting card will do.
- Original Migration certificate of last attendant university, although it is not required at the time of registration but at a later stage.
